Surgery Specifics
1) Preoperative Diagnoses: Left hip femoral acetabular impingement CAM and Pincer type with labral tear and some degenerative change.
Postoperative diagnoses: Left hip labral tear. Femoroacetabular impingement; both CAP and Pincer chondromalacia of the acetabulum, anterior laterally, ligamental teres hypertrophy, marked synovitis.
(12/17/07) Operations performed:
- Left hip arthroscopic partial labrectomy.
- Left hip arthroscopic synovectomy.
- Left hip arthroscopc chondroplasty.
- Left hip arthroscopic debridement of ligamentum teres.
- Arthroscopic cheilectomy.
- Arthroscopic acetabuloplasty.
- Arthroscopic capsulotomy and partial capsulectomy.
2) (2/4/08) Right hip: All the above, plus microfracture and more. Surgery time was approximately 45 minutes for left hip and 2 hours for right hip. 4 small incisions in each hip. (pictures will be available at a later date)
3) (12/23/08) Left hip: total replacement. Stainless steel ball, titanium rod down the femur, polyethelene socket insert in acetabulum. 27 staples.
4) (5/8/13) Right hip: total replacement. Stainless steel ball, titanium rod down the femur, polyethelene socket insert in acetabulum. 28 staples.

I have had the pleasure of studing many styles other then TKD as well. I also have been diagnosed with Acetabular impingement with bone spurs and Labral tear. I am only 29 I have been altering all movements and my lifestyle. I would like to talk to you about a collaboration on a book. I have been interested in the kinesthetic opps of martial arts for years. I have not had surgery yet. I would love to see pictures and hear how rehab is going.
